Sapphire Surf Bluebeard

Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Blauer Splatz'

Sapphire Surf Bluebeard is a compact, low-maintenance shrub that produces a swell of stunning blue flowers from top to bottom in late summer and fall when other plants are showcasing the late-season warm tones. The cool tones are a fantastic contrast, especially in mass plantings. This late bloomer is also fantastic for migrating pollinators. The habit is lower growing than most bluebeard, so it makes a colorful groundcover. As an added bonus, Sapphire Surf is deer and drought resistant.
